The Magic Kingdom

If we spent the most time at EPCOT, then we spent the least at the Magic Kingdom. Again, I don't know how or why it worked out that way. Except for the SpectroMagic and Remember the Magic Parades, which I returned for alone, the three of us spent only one day here (and, not even a full day at that!). Consequently, few pictures to share.

First stop had to be Splash Mountain. The crowds were very low this trip (much lower than this time last year - yet larger at the MK than anywhere else at WDW) and we walked right into the building and up the stairs before reaching the queue. This was a first - usually the queue starts outside and snakes around a bit before reaching the building. Aside from the big drop at the end, this attraction is very pleasant with nice music, cute scenes including the Zip-a-Dee Lady near the end. Sorry, no pictures going down the big drop. . . I kept my camera safely tucked under my shirt.

Next, we cruised thru It's A Small World. Again, a minimal wait. In fact, one side had been closed and the CM just opened it as we approached - so we practically walked onto this one. It never ceases to amaze me how the different sound tracks remain perfectly synchronized with one another as you move from area to area. You never miss a beat!

Pirates of the Caribbean was another walk on. I love the parrot outside the entrance.

Let's see... we also hit the Haunted Mansion (Gus' favorite MK attraction) and Snow White's Adventures. I wanted to ride Dumbo the Flying Elephant, which my neice and nephew introduced me to back in March (when the photo was taken), but Linda and Gus thought that would be too juvenile!
